Wrestling Wrestling is a style of grappling that offers lots of takedowns and control positions.  Greco-Roman, freestyle and folk style are the main variants of wrestling.  Not unlike Judo, wrestling has become a global sport.  If you turn on Olympic wrestling you will see most of the world being represented in the competition.  From old Soviet bloc countries, to the Middle East to America, wrestling is a popular sport across a large swath of the globe.  Wrestling offers some of the most effective techniques for controlling and taking downs opponents.  High percentage moves like single and double legs are not all that wrestling has.  Throws and trips are also utilized by wrestlers.  Wrestling blends well with no gi grappling, mixed martial arts and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.  A wrestler can find success in many areas of life, but they are something to be feared on the mat.Wrestling is often said to be the best background for Mixed Martial Arts.  The competitive aspects of  wrestling both in tournaments, matches and in practices creates a chance to push yourself.  Learn to Grapple offers videos from many experienced wrestlers.
