Now what we’re going to look at is a very common scenario. We are able to beat his legs with our knee over guard pass, but he was able to beat us on the under hook . . . so in this situation, once again, I’m trying to get that knee over guard pass. Step up, I drive through, but Eric’s proactive. He gets in and I’m not able to pummel. Sometimes I’ll actually intentionally do this so the person will take the bait. Once again, I prefer the submission over the position. He doesn’t want me to come chest to chest and get into this wizzer war. He’s going to extend his arm and move away. As soon as he does that, I’m going to come underneath his head. Over his head, under his head. Make sure the arm clears, dropping my weight. Now I’m going to slide from his head to my bicep, and I’m going to fall to my right hip, right here. Squeeze in tight, shrug my shoulders, imagine putting my left wrist bone through his neck.
So, that’s going to be our D’arce pass; our knee over guard pass into D’arce choke.
